Lowline Black Angus Cattle offer a great line of genetically superior beef.  "Lowlines are very definitely a beef breed. They are black, naturally polled and about 60% of the size of normal beef breeds." Lowlines are designed for superior grass conversion which is great for the beef markets of today.
" ... Characteristics and exceptional ribeye area per hundred pounds of body weight which translates to very high yielding, high quality, high value beef carcasses."
In today’s health-conscious environment it makes sense to offer something great.

Lowline Angus added to Texas Junior Livestock Association
Heifer Division
The Texas Junior Livestock Association has added a new breed division to the TJLA
Heifer division. The Southwest Lowline Angus Breeders Association (SLABA) has
sponsored the division for the 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2011-2012 TJLA Awards year.
This division like all TJLA heifer divisions, will have three years to establish itself as far
as participation requirements are concerned.
The breed division will operate like all TJLA divisions. In order to participate as a
Lowline Angus, members must own animals that are at least three-fourths bred, purebred
or fullblood Lowline Angus and have registration papers in the name of the individual
exhibitor. The Southwest Lowline Angus Breeders Association has a website at
www.slaba.us where TJLA members can gather more information on Lowline Angus
cattle.
